1. Agreement to Terms

By engaging MoveEasy Canada ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") for moving services, accessing our website, or using our services, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our services.

3. Services Provided

MoveEasy Canada provides the following services:

4. Booking and Confirmation

4.1 Estimates and Quotes

All estimates are based on information provided by the customer. Final charges may vary based on actual services performed, distance traveled, time required, and additional services requested.

4.2 Booking Requirements

To book our services, customers must:

• Provide accurate inventory and moving details
• Confirm pickup and delivery addresses
• Agree to payment terms
• Sign a moving contract or work order

4.3 Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled move date. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may incur charges equal to 50% of the estimated move cost.

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Payment Methods

We accept cash, certified cheque, bank draft, and major credit cards. Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in writing.

5.2 Additional Charges

Additional charges may apply for:

• Services not included in the original estimate
• Delays caused by customer or circumstances beyond our control
• Extra stops or changes to delivery address
• Stairs, long carry distances, or elevator usage
• Packing materials and supplies

6. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete inventory information
• Ensuring access to pickup and delivery locations
• Disconnecting and preparing appliances for moving
• Removing or clearly identifying items not to be moved
• Being present during pickup and delivery
• Securing necessary permits for parking or building access
• Declaring valuable, fragile, or hazardous items

7. Prohibited Items

We will not transport the following items:

• Hazardous materials (flammable, explosive, corrosive substances)
• Perishable goods
• Live plants or animals
• Personal documents, jewelry, or irreplaceable items
• Currency or securities
• Illegal items or substances
• Items that may cause contamination or damage

8. Liability and Insurance

8.1 Basic Coverage

All moves include basic coverage at $0.60 per pound per item as mandated by Canadian regulations. This coverage is limited and may not fully compensate for the actual value of damaged items.

8.2 Additional Insurance

Customers may purchase additional insurance coverage for full replacement value. Details of coverage options will be provided during the booking process.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the coverage selected by the customer. We are not liable for:

• Damage to items with pre-existing damage
• Normal wear and tear
• Damage caused by acts of God, weather, or circumstances beyond our control
• Consequential or indirect damages
• Items not disclosed or improperly packed by the customer

9. Claims Process

Claims for loss or damage must be:

• Noted on the inventory sheet at the time of delivery
• Reported in writing within 30 days of delivery
• Supported by documentation such as receipts or appraisals
• Filed according to our claims procedure

10. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, labor disputes, or transportation difficulties.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be resolved through:

1. Good faith negotiation between the parties
2. Mediation if negotiation fails
3. Binding arbitration under the laws of the province where services were performed

12. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal information is collected, used, and protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy laws. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of MoveEasy Canada and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws.

14. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any legal proceedings will be conducted in the courts of Ontario.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any signed moving contract and our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MoveEasy Canada regarding our services.
